“LIGHT A CANDLE IN MEMORY OF THE 10,000,000 VICTIMS OF THE 1932-32 GENOCIDE IN UKRAINE”

On the fourth Saturday of November Ukrainians throughout the world remember the millions of people who died in what has been called the greatest crime the world has ever known, the Holodomor of 1932-33 in the breadbasket of Europe, Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Holodomor (famine) took place because the Bolsheviks confiscated all the grain. “A quarter of the rural population, men, women and children, lay dead or dying in a great stretch of territory with some forty million inhabitants.
These days the Ukrainian people reminding the tragic events of that tragedy , which is the tragedy not only the Ukrainian nation but also the tragedy of all humanity.
The greatest mass slaughter in the history was the the Ukrainian Holodomor.
I would like to ask the Christians all over the world , to remind in their prayers the souls who , passed to eternity in the time of Holodomor .

Пом’яни, Господи, всіх жертв голодоморів, репресій і воєн, усіх, що полягли за волю України, за ім’я Господнє, замучених і убієнних од віку і всіх, за кого нема кому помолитися. Прости їм усі гріхи їх вільні й невільні, даруй їм Царство Твоє Небесне і причастя вічних Твоїх благ і сотвори їм вічную пам’ять.
Remember, O Lord, all the victims of famine, repression and war, all who died for freedom of Ukraine, the name of the Lord, tortured and killed from all ages and for whom no one to pray. Forgive them their sins, voluntary and involuntary, give them Your Kingdom of Heaven and eternal communion of Thy blessings and make their memory eternal.
